Sights and tourist attractions Rychvald

Castle

It is the oldest building in the village, it has the descriptive number 1. It looks like an old Zeman farmhouse. Built in about 1577 on the site of the old seat of the feudal rulers of the village. It is believed that material from the demolished Orlovsky monastery was used for the construction. The then lord Bernard Barský of Baště bought the indebted manor in 1573 from the deceased owner Frydrych Kazimír. He bought Rychvald, Poruba and part of Dětmarovice. Rychvald made the seat and head of the whole estate.

The castle is built in a quadrangle, in the middle is a courtyard 48 x 48 m, outdoor southern and northern diets are 60 m long, eastern and western 80 m. The masonry is made of stone and brick. The west and north wings are formed by barns and stables. Below the east side are cellars and a chateau chapel. Above the entrance to the chateau is the emblem of Bernard Barský of Baště. The last owner of the castle and the whole estate was an Austrian member, Count Georg Starhenberg. He farmed on his estate until January 1945.

Roman-Catholic church

It is a protected valuable historical monument from the 16th century. It was built in 1595 by Mr. Bernard Barský of Baště in the style of fading Gothic. The church has uniquely preserved window rings of Gothic forms. They are beautiful inside the angled vault. Cylindrical bolts bear the coats of arms of building masters in the presbytery. The ship has the year 1596. The entrance in the front of the tower has a Gothic vault, the hall has a cross vault.

Czechoslovak church

Hus Choir - was built in 1925. In 1946, a new organ was put into operation, which was made by a factory for musical instruments in Krnov. The wall paintings were painted by the academic painter Hanuš from Hrušov, the cross with Christ was made by the academic painter Obšil. There are three bells hanging in the tower - Václav, Ludmila, Bořivoj.
